Basima Hamati-Attieh BSN, RN, PCH administrator

Basima has over 20 years of nursing experience since she started her career in the 80’s at St. Luke’s Hospital School of Nursing.  Her focus on providing high-quality and compassionate care led her (with her brother Nader) to enter the field of long term care in 2007, when Above and Beyond Personal Care Home began.  Basima is certified as a Personal Care Home Administrator, and fulfills the roles of both Administrator and Director of Nursing.  Frequently, Basima can be caught with a stethoscope checking a resident who is short of breath while speaking directly to that resident’s doctor on the cell phone to coordinate the care needed to help the resident breath easier.  Basima’s talents can best be described as “Above and Beyond” the typical personal care home environment.

Nader Hamati BS-ME, PCH administrator, Servsafe certified

Although Nader doesn’t have a health care background, his 18 years with DuPont (and their emphasis on safety) coupled with his skills in business and management complement his sister’s talents, and keep the business end of Above and Beyond running smoothly.  With his sister Basima, Nader is also certified as a Personal Care Home Administrator, and is the President and CEO of Above and Beyond, Incorporated.  Nader’s envisions a need for Personal Care Home services for the seniors of the Lehigh Valley that are not only affordable, but also comprehensive and flexible enough to meet the ever-changing needs of our customers.  This vision led to the purchase of the Mountain View community in 2009, which offered even more options to our customers.

Kelly Hamati MSN, CRNP, PCH administrator

Nader’s wife Kelly was a classmate of Basima, and also has over 20 years of nursing experience.  Also certified as a Personal Care Home Administrator, Kelly provides assistance to Nader and Basima in their roles at Above and Beyond.  Kelly also coordinates education and training for Above and Beyond staff.

Tony Attieh,  Servsafe certified

Tony is Basima’s husband, and provides the “behind the scenes” support for supplies, inventory, and facilities management at Above and Beyond.  Most of the residents, however, recognize Tony as the “King of the Grill” during summer barbecues!

The Kids

Because we are family-run, you may even get to meet the kids as they call Bingo, clean tables, or just sit around and look “cute”!  Basima and Tony are the proud parents of Peter and Jessica.  Nader and Kelly have three children, Jacqui, Matthew, and Marc.
